When you have installed and set up the Sync Application to work with all of your companies, you can use some command line options to launch and check the status of your synchronization attempts. This functionality is especially helpful if you want to tie a synchronization to another automated process, such as the completion of payroll.

The Sync Application provides for the following capabilities via the command line:

 

• Sync All companies - Begin the sync process for all companies.

       Command: syncutil.exe sync all

• Sync a specific company - Choose a specific company and launch a sync for just that company.

.       Command: syncutil.exe sync [companyID]

• Sync a specific source - Launch a sync for a specific company and data location.

      Command: syncutil.exe sync [companyID:sourceID]

• Report all current syncs - Return a listing of all syncs currently in progress.

      Command: syncutil.exe stats current

• Report most recent N syncs - Return the results and information about the past N number of syncs.

      Command: syncutil.exe stats last:[#] 

• Return details of a past sync from the Sync ID - Return the results of a specific sync using the sync ID.

      Command: syncutil.exe stats:  id:[syncID]
