Green Shades Software, Inc. was established in 1992 as a reseller of
the Great Plains Accounting system. Founded upon Christian morals and
ethics in Jacksonville, Florida, our company has grown steadily through the
years. In 1996, we wrote the first version of our magnetic media
software, which was released for only a few clients on a consulting
basis. The product was met with such success among our clients that we spent
the next years producing updated versions and selling it to users all
across America. Soon we became the only independent software
vendor offering payroll tax filing to the federal government, all fifty
states and hundreds of localities.
After realizing that we had found a strong need within the market and that our true passion was in creating software instead of reselling back office systems, we made the transition to a full time software company. Greenshades reinvented itself in 2002, building a strong new version of our software on Microsoft's .NET initiative. We currently offer tax and non-tax electronic reporting as our flagship product that works with Microsoft and non-Microsoft back office systems.
Since that time, Greenshades has done much to improve our traditional electronic filing software as well as release numerous other software modules meant to help HR and Payroll controllers with their tasks.
Our electronic filing software has evolved to include scheduling features, the ability to remit payments, automatic internet filing to government agencies, and much more.
In an attempt to broaden our offerings, Greenshades released Professional PTO in late 2004. Professional PTO manages corporate time-off policies. Following quickly after came products for year-end form printing, employment information verification, Garnishments, and Local Tax Table updates. We are truly excited about what the future will bring as we advance the art of tax-reporting and try to find new ways to streamline payroll and HR processes.
